Goatfeathers Point pasture raises heritage, Bourbon Red & Blue Slate, and Broad Breasted turkeys for the Thanksgiving holiday. The turkeys are processed, fresh, and ready for pick-up at the farm a day or two before Thanksgiving. Pasture raised, frozen birds may be available throughout the year. Contact us for availability and to reserve your holiday turkey. Pricing for 2009 holiday season: $5.00 a pound for Broad Breasted and $7.00 a pound for heritage. Buckeye & Golden Buff Chickens are pasture raised at Goatfeathers Point for on-farm egg sales. Look for the egg shingle on the mailbox for availability. The Buckeye chickens are an Ohio breed developed in Warren by Nettie Metcalf. They are a dual purpose (eggs & meat) bird with small combs and fluffy feathers that withstand the northern winters.
